Eternal Flame by Atomic Kitten keeps playing in my head. It's a really nice song.
Close your eyes
Give me your hand, darlin'
Do you feel my heart beating
Do you understand
Do you feel the same
Or am I only dreaming
Is this burnin' an eternal flame
I believe
It's meant to be, darlin'
I watch you when you are sleeping
You belong with me
Do you feel the same
Or am I only dreaming
Is this burnin' an eternal flame
Say my name
Sun shines trough the rain
Of all life so lonely
And come and ease the pain
I don't wanna lose this feeling
Call my name, call my name, call my name, call my name, call my name
Say my name
Sun shines trough the rain
Of all life so lonely
And come and ease the pain
I don't wanna lose this feeling
Close your eyes
Give me your hand, darlin'
Do you feel my heart beating
Do you understand
Do you feel the same
Am I only dreaming
Or is this burning an eternal flame
Close your eyes
Give me your hand, darlin'
Do you feel my heart beating
Do you understand
Do you feel the same
Or am I only dreaming
Or is this burning an eternal flame
Close your eyes
Give me your hand, darlin'
Do you feel my heart beating
Do you understand
Do you feel the same
Or am I only dreaming
Or is this burning an eternal flame

Zaf and I went to Long John Silver's to eat before French class.Even she was having an off day.How else to drown our miseries and dwell on our pathetic, boring lives than to eat?It didnt help that it was raining heavily. And because we were feeling so rotten and feeling miserable and crappy and nervous (we hadn't studied for our french test) , we walked all the way to the centre slowly, soaking up the rain because we really didnt care.We were too bummed out.We got to the centre all cold and shivery. My socks were plastered to my feet! Then we went to the library (smart move,I know) to study and nearly froze to death.
And as usual,French class always perks us up so we were feeling pretty much alright after that.Madame didnt come again, (apparently something's wrong with her brain, literally) so we had a relief teacher. His voice was so loud,it hurt my ears.Seriously.He was practically shouting.Well no wonder,he was in the army for four years.I pity those who might have been under his charge then.I prefer the relief teacher we had on Wednesday. He was more entertaining and draws really well.Looks like Thanida might have some competition.A serious one at that too.
Interesting combination,much?
Stupid thing is dried up.I have to go paint it now. What colour are snakes?Oh hell,I'll just paint it all green.Case closed.

What's hidden behind your eyes: A vivid inner world |
I shall post a snippet of our wacked-out coversation another time.
Photo ripped from Ain.Isn't Brandon Ekers hot?Oh and the boy behind is Samuel. He was so cute!He couldnt keep his mouth shut,he just went on talking and talking and talking.Deannie and I were having an amusing time with him!
I've caught a cold.I'm sniffing and sniffing.I was supposed to go cycling by my mum won't let me go because she says I'll fall sick, which I will, actually.I'm not exactly known to have the strongest immunity system. As they say, mother knows best!Although I wouldn't mind missing school tomorrow. There are no tests and the only things I miss would be Basketball training and Rollerblading Enrichment.OKAY,on second thought, maybe missing school isn't that fun.Oh bollocks. This coming week is filled with tests,it's so crappy.I've got 5 tests! And since there isn't any tomorrow,it means that I will have 2 on a certain day.I hate school.
I feel like eating but there's nothing to eat.You know,food is therapy in itself.When you're happy,you eat.When you're bored,you eat.When you're depressed,you eat.When you've got nothing to do,you eat.Right now,I'm feeling bored and have nothing to do,I NEED FOOD!
Ain just told me to look at her blog because she uploaded the photos she took yesterday during Carnival Day.We had a party and hosted some kids from Tung Ling Kindergarten. There was this hot guy,Brandon Ekers. We were all fussing about him,he was so cute!
I've got a crush on a 6-year-old!
Miracles really do happen.
Today was a rah-rah day.I'm too lazy to go into details. It was Carnival Day,I didn't exactly like it.In fact,I'd rather have had a normal day of lessons. The Subject Combination briefing was funny though. Not the briefing itself, but stupid Nani. She kept saying silly things and then we started grunting like pigs.It was silly.
I can't make up my mind!I don't know what subject combinations I should take.I want triple science but I'm afraid I won't do well. And I also want the Humanities subjects and I don't know if I should take Literature.I hadn't wanted to at first, but it doesn't seem so bad now.Oshkosh Bgosh,I don't know.
Andik just asked me where she can buy cloth. She wants to make a skirt.I mean, personally,I wouldn't waste my time.Sure you can argue that it saves money. But really when you think of it,you need money for the materials and sure that costs less than buying a whole new skirt but when you factor in all the time and energy you're going to have to put in,it's just as good as simply buying one.Besides, the stitches won't be all messy and it definitely wouldn't be the work of an amateur. But hey,it's not that I'm saying you shouldn't sew or anything. If you really are into fashion designing or sewing or just simply have loads of free time on your hands, then hey,why not? It's after all,all in the name of fun.But I for sure, wouldn't sew a skirt or shirt or anything else for that matter, excluding the bag I'm doing now for Home Ec,simply because I'd rather spend all that time sewing doing something more interesting, say, shopping for example.Besides,I'm no good in sewing and I really don't have the patience to actually sit down for hours and sew.By heavens,no.
I just bought a new book.Emma by Jane Austen, the same author of Pride and Prejudice. The book only costs $4.73.I think it's ridiculously cheap, not that I'm complaining though. But,it's a classic, for goodness sake.Jane Austen is like, one of the greatest writers and to have one of her most accomplished books being sold for just a mere 5 bucks simply doesn't do justice to her.Even books by William Shakespeare like Hamlet,Othello and MacBeth were being sold for the same price. It's really outrageous.Imagine if William Shakespeare and Jane Austen were still alive,I bet they'd feel the same way too.My current favourite author is Georgette Heyer,an 18th century writer.I'm now reading Powder and Patch and am liking it.I want to read Beauvallet next but I can't seem to find it in the libraries. There's no point asking anyone I know because I'm sure they haven't even heard of Georgetter Heyer, let alone, posses the book.I'll just have to keep on searching then.
It's really funny, the less I sleep, the more awake I am.Like 2 days ago,I slept for only 4 hours, but yesterday I was fine, though I was a little sleepy early in the day.But yesterday night,I slept for 6 hours, and today I was half dead.During the English CA yesterday, I slept for the last 10 minutes. It was only ten minutes, but I was dreaming.Dreaming!Of flying or travelling I think. When Mrs Taufiq wanted to collect the papers,I didnt hear her.Aashi had to tap me to wake me up.I was seriously tired. But I was fine the rest of the day.
Here's a tip to you people : Take a 10-minute nap,it'll do you good.Trust me,I've done it,I know.
And so,that marks the end of an exciting,month-long World Cup.Now we've got to wait for another 4 years.I'll still be supporting Germany then.Speaking of which, one of its players, who happens to be my favourite,Lukas Podolski, was named the Best Young Player of the tournament. You can read the report yourself,I don't want to sound too much like a narrator. http://www.zeenews.com/articles.asp?aid=307632&sid=SPO&ssid=90
I'm sure many people now would have nothing much to look forward to,likewise for me.The World Cup was probably the most exciting thing ever and now it's over.Oh well, there's still Teachers Day!
Okay,I know it's no final but still, they beat Portugal 3-1 and clinched 3rd place. It was pure euphoria. All 4 goals were scored in the second half of the game and Portugal actually scored an own goal!
I bet everyone around the world's gearing up for tonight's match.Italy against France.I'm no huge fan of either but I'm supporting France on this one.Allez Les Bleus!Ain and I made another bet. She's siding Italy so the loser will treat the winner to either Macs or Long John's or KFC.I won the previous bet,the game Germany played against Argentina and got a Hershey's chocolate. It's pretty hard to say who will win this match. Both teams are great, which is why the final is going to be one hot match.I'm going to have to sleep early because my dad won't let me stay up.Oh wells.
I can't believe the World Cup is coming to an end.The most anticipated tournament,is ending in just a few hours. Then,we'll have to wait for 4 more years.I'll be 18 by then!
Allez Les Bleus!Je vous aime!
(For those of you who don't understand, it means, Go France,I love you!)
Okay I want to say something to that annoying Levin dude.
First of all, this is my blog,so I can say whatever I want to.Blogs are a channel where people express their thoughts and feelings, which is exactly what I was doing and I'm sorry if it didn't please you.I am only me,I cannot please everybody.I don't like Levin Ng,the Singapore Idol contestant and that is my problem.Other people may not like my favourites,Paul and Joakim but I don't care. That's their problem.I have got the right to write about anything I want,it's called freedom of speech. So don't be a sissy and take it to heart. If you can't take critism now, then if Levin enters the finals and gets booted out, what about then? Are you going to every single person's blog who disses Levin and tell them that Levin was good?Get.A.Life.I'm sure Levin has his fans,it's just that I'm not one of them. He's out of the competition and I don't hear him complaining. So whoever you are,Levin, just give it a break and go to hell.
Game's started.
Oh!Match is starting.
Day One-16 June,Friday
We had buffet breakfast at the hotel,The Ambassador Hotel. It was a shite hotel, let me tell you but I shan't go into details. The first day,we went shopping! We went to Pratunam(I hope that's the correct spelling),which was basically an open-air market.By golly, you can go crazy there. They sell so many things. It's like shopping paradise! After we walked for like at least 3 hours,my granddad hired a tourguide to bring us to a restaurant. That's when I took my first Tuk-Tuk ride. It's so exhilarating! We went to eat at a seafood restaurant and I got to try real Thai Tom Yam.Honestly though,I've tasted better before. The Tom Yam soup tasted like lemak. But it was delicious nonetheless.I also tried my first Fanta, which is actually soda. But I didn't know what it was at first when I looked at the menu and it sounded cool so I decided to order Red Fanta. It tasted like F n N Mirinda.Lunch was fantastic. It renewed our energy to go for more shopping! This time we went to MBK,I know what it stands for but I know I'll spell it wrongly.I bought my VonDutch handbag there. There wasn't much that I liked.I prefer Pratunam. It was a fab first day,got loads of shopping done. The first picture is of me and Shereen posing as bitches and the second one is of us being bimbotic, which we really did become during the trip.
Day 2-17 June,Saturday
We had buffet breakfast again. The buffet was good,I especially loved the pastries. It was another shopping day.But we went to Chatuchak(again I dont know if it's the right spelling) which is suposedly Asia's or the world's largest open-air flea market. The shopping there was enough to make you go crazy as well. There were so many shops selling so many things, you go just plain nuts.I bought a whole load of things, all at a cheaper price than back home of course.I ate the popsicles they sold there.I didnt notice them but Shereen did.She said practically everyone she saw was sucking on one.So we decided that we just had to buy it.We bought the grape-flavoured ones, which just happened to match our purple tees, which Shereen and I happened to wear, unplanned and which also went according to the colour system in Thailand.See,there's like a colour for everyday. You wear something of that colour,a shirt, skirt, hat etc.So Saturday was Purple Day.It was really cool.We didnt know about it when we wore our purple tees though. We went back to the hotel to rest but us kids, went swimming! That's when Shereen and I saw the first cute guy.He was extremely hot especially when he went out of the pool,we almost fainted. He was barebodied.Enough said. After that,we went to the Suan Lum Night Market. That was really boring. The stuffs were all boring and overpriced. The only interesting thing was the huge ferris wheel we rode. The guy who was in charge of our line was cute as well.We then had dinner at this Pakistan restaurant where they served the BEST shrimp fried rice. The shrimp were really big and fresh and we were so hungry,we finished everything. That night happened to be the same night Portugal was playing Iran so we got to watch Cristiano Ronaldo on top of eating the most heavenly fried rice.A fab ending for a fab day.
Day 3-18 June,Sunday
I had a bad start for this day because I had to wake up at an unearthly hour,so you could tell I was in a foul mood because I am no morning person. We all woke up at 3 because we had a flight to catch to Chiangmai, another part of Thailand, which was at 7 and the bloody airport was far from our hotel.Anyway, once we reached Chiangmai,we checked into the hotel and walked around the area to check out the place. There wasn't much to do because there were no shops whatsoever. So we went back to the hotel to rest till 2pm because there was a bus shuttle that takes us to town. That's when Shereen and I saw spotted the second hot guy. He'd just checked in and once we'd all gone to our rooms,I looked out the pool and saw him lounging on a chair, barebodied.'Nuff said.We totally checked him out.The shopping centre in town was pretty okay.We ate ice cream at Swensons, they had this new ice cream which was really cheap, less than 4 bucks our money,so we ate it.I kept complaining to Shereen that I felt like a pig because we'd been eating so much.We even came up with our own version of Dont Cha.
Dont cha wish your girlfriend was a fatass like me
Dont cha wish your girlfriend was a pig like me,OINK OINK
It really made us depressed. But not for long though, because we had retail therapy. We went shopping 2 different markets, the Sunday market and the Night market. The Sunday market was pretty boring, unless you're interested in those traditional things. The Night market was better. But something interesting happened at the Sunday market. We were walking down the stalls when suddenly everyone fell silent. We then realized it was because the National Anthem was being played and everyone was standing at attention so we did too.I found it funny at first and giggled when I looked at Aunty Zareena who was trying to maintain a straight face. But I quickly regained my composure,I didnt want the locals to think I was some rude tourist!
Day 4-19 June,Monday
A truly exciting day.We got to sleep in a little late and had breakfast at the hotel.Loads of pastries!I went nuts.We then took a chartered van to the Elephant farm, where we watched an elephant show.It was so cute. The elephants could paint as well. One elephant painted a picture of 2 elephants humping each other.Entertaining or what?It was the first painting sold. Then we got to ride on the elephants.Shereen and I rode together.I nearly slipped out of the chair a couple of times.I never knew that an elephant could shit so much. The elephant in front of us,which Shazleen,Yasmeen and Daneesh rode, did just that.It peed first, and it was a hell alot of pee, then it shitted. So many balls of shit came out and it splashed in its pee,it was so gross. The shit looks like a coconut though. But the ride was extremely fun,it's like a roller coaster ride in nature. All the ups and downs and almost falling outs.We stopped 3/4 of the way and took a bullock cart back to the starting point where we then went for bamboo rafting. It was nothing scary.Basically, you just sit on the bamboo as the guide leads you along the river for 5km.It's really nice and relaxing. Our guide was teaching me to count in Thai. The only thing I remember is,okay so I forgot everything. After that,we went to an Orchard farm. The flowers were really beautiful. The locals even gold-plate the orchids into brooches.Real nice.We we then took the bus back to the hotel.I was pretty zonked out and slept the whole way.I needed to recharge for the shopping at the night market later that night!
Day 5- 20 June,Tuesday
The last day of the holiday. We flew back to Bangkok. This time,we didnt have to wake up so early because our flight was at 9 I think. We had breakfast before we left for the airport. At the airport security check,I got pulled over to the side for further checking because when I passed through those bar things, the alarm went off. This was no big deal since it's been going off everytime I passed a security check since I boarded the plane on the 15th.All because I was wearing my metal belt! But it was fun. This was the day I saw my cute guy.I think he's local because he read the Thai newspaper. He was with his mum and sister,(I refuse to believe she's anyone but his sister). He was tanned and so cute!He looks like Oliver James.I was completely smitten. He happened to board the same plane and was seating just 3 rows behind.Anyway, once we got to Bangkok,we dumped our bags in the hotel and took off for Pratunam as we didn't cover the whole area previously. But we'd reached Bangkok pretty late and we were all hungry so we had lunch first then went to Pratunam.By that time,it was already 5 plus, and it was raining. But we managed to get good bargains due to the rain.It was frustrating though because most of the shops closed at 7,which didn't give us much time to really look around.I felt like crying.Seriously.You can't deprive a girl of her shopping you know. But nevertheless,I bought a VonDutch handbag and many other shirts.I wanted to buy a Spain jersey but I couldnt find a nice one. Then,we went back to our hotel area to shop because there were lots of little shops.I bought more shirts from there. Then we finally went back to the hotel. We had to sleep early because we had to wake up at an unearthly hour again the next day to catch our early flight to Singapore the next day.
So that was my Thai trip.Pretty good,no scratch that.It was fabulous, fantastic, great, awesome!I might be going back in December. Can't wait!I'm going to upload more photos when I have the time.I'm going to go get ready for the Portugal-England match.
Scream out loud!
Dance till you drop dead!
Go partying till the wee hours of the morning!
Well there's no reason not to celebrate because GERMANY BEAT ARGENTINA!It was a very close match. Both teams played well I must say.Everytime Germany wanted to score,Argentina would have blocked it.Everytime Argentina wanted to score, the Germans did the same.By half time, there were still no goals and everyone was so nervous and anxious. So was I.Then in the second half,Argentina scored in the 49 minute and you could tell that the atmosphere in the stadium just changed.I was so stunned my mouth was hanging open for at least a minute! Then I got so nervous,I was biting my nails.Biting my nails!I never do that. Then came Miroslav Klose to the rescue, scoring a goal in the 80th minute.I was so elated I knocked over the cup of water I had with me and started jumping up and down. Finally, after extra time and penalty shots,Germany won.The Argentinians weren't happy. They pushed and shoved the Germans. They're such sore losers. That's so childish, really.
Tonight England is playing Portugal and Brazil is playing France.I hope Portugal and France win! It's still undecided if Cristiano Ronaldo is going to play or not.I really hope he does!Otherwise the game would be so boring.
I'm still elated over Germany's win.Now the Argentinians can bring their sorry,sore-loser butts home and tell their country,Don't Cry For Me Argentina!Haha!
