So in the end,it was the Azzuris who emerged the champions of the FIFA World Cup 2006.There goes my bet with Ain.I'm treating her to KFC this Saturday,we plan to do CIP and watch Pirates of the Caribbean as well, together with Faith. It was a very close match. After full time,it was tied at 1-1.Then after penalty,Italy won 5-3.I honestly feel that France deserved to win,but oh well.I don't really like penalties because then,it's not the skill that is being showcased. It's mostly luck.So yeah.Poor Zidane. His last time playing for France and he had the perfect send off-being carded.A RED card at that as well.I wonder what the heck he was thinking, headbutting Materazzi.

And so,that marks the end of an exciting,month-long World Cup.Now we've got to wait for another 4 years.I'll still be supporting Germany then.Speaking of which, one of its players, who happens to be my favourite,Lukas Podolski, was named the Best Young Player of the tournament. You can read the report yourself,I don't want to sound too much like a narrator. http://www.zeenews.com/articles.asp?aid=307632&sid=SPO&ssid=90

I'm sure many people now would have nothing much to look forward to,likewise for me.The World Cup was probably the most exciting thing ever and now it's over.Oh well, there's still Teachers Day!
