Day One-16 June,Friday
We had buffet breakfast at the hotel,The Ambassador Hotel. It was a shite hotel, let me tell you but I shan't go into details. The first day,we went shopping! We went to Pratunam(I hope that's the correct spelling),which was basically an open-air market.By golly, you can go crazy there. They sell so many things. It's like shopping paradise! After we walked for like at least 3 hours,my granddad hired a tourguide to bring us to a restaurant. That's when I took my first Tuk-Tuk ride. It's so exhilarating! We went to eat at a seafood restaurant and I

Day 2-17 June,Saturday
We had buffet breakfast again. The buffet was good,I especially loved the pastries. It was another shopping day.But we went to Chatuchak(again I dont know if it's the right spelling) which is suposedly Asia's or the world's largest open-air flea market. The shopping there was enough to make you go crazy as well. There were so many shops selling so many things, you go just plain nuts.I bought a whole load of things, all at a cheaper price than back home of course.I ate the popsicles they sold there.I didnt notice them but Shereen did.She said practically everyone she saw was sucking on one.So we decided that we just had to buy it.We bought the grape-flavoured ones, which just happened to match our purple

Day 3-18 June,Sunday
I had a bad start for this day because I had to wake up at an unearthly hour,so you could tell I was in a foul mood

Dont cha wish your girlfriend was a fatass like me
Dont cha wish your girlfriend was a pig like me,OINK OINK
It really made us depressed. But not for long though, because we had retail therapy. We went shopping 2 different markets, the Sunday market and the Night market. The Sunday market was pretty boring, unless you're interested in those traditional things. The Night market was better. But something interesting happened at the Sunday market. We were walking down the stalls when suddenly everyone fell silent. We then realized it was because the National Anthem was being played and everyone was standing at attention so we did too.I found it funny at first and giggled when I looked at Aunty Zareena who was trying to maintain a straight face. But I quickly regained my composure,I didnt want the locals to think I was some rude tourist!
Day 4-19 June,Monday
A truly exciting day.We got to sleep in a little late and had breakfast at the hotel.Loads of pastries!I went nuts.We then took a chartered van to the Elephant farm, where we watched an elephant show.It was so cute. The elephants could paint as well. One elephant painted a picture of 2 elephants humping each other.Entertaining or what?It was the first painting sold. Then we got to ride on the elephants.Shereen and I rode together.I nearly slipped out of the chair a couple of times.I never knew that an elephant could shit so much. The elephant in front of us,which Shazleen,Yasmeen
and Daneesh rode, did just that.It peed first, and it was a hell alot of pee, then it shitted. So many balls of shit came out and it splashed in its pee,it was so gross. The shit looks like a coconut though. But the ride was extremely fun,it's like a roller coaster ride in nature. All the ups and downs and almost falling outs.We stopped 3/4 of the way and took a bullock cart back to the starting point where we then went for bamboo rafting. It was nothing scary.Basically, you just sit on the bamboo as the guide leads you along the river for 5km.It's really
nice and relaxing. Our guide was teaching me to count in Thai. The only thing I remember is,okay so I forgot everything. After that,we went to an Orchard farm. The flowers were really beautiful. The locals even gold-plate the orchids into brooches.Real nice.We we then took the bus back to the hotel.I was pretty zonked out and slept the whole way.I needed to recharge for the shopping at the night market later that night!
Day 5- 20 June,Tuesday
The last day of the holiday. We flew back to Bangkok. This time,we didnt have to wake up so early because our flight was at 9 I think. We had breakfast before we left for the airport. At the airport security check,I got pulled over to the side for further checking because when I passed through those bar things, the alarm went off. This was no big deal since it's been going off everytime I passed a security check since I boarded the plane on the 15th.All because I was
wearing my metal belt! But it was fun. This was the day I saw my cute guy.I think he's local because he read the Thai newspaper. He was with his mum and sister,(I refuse to believe she's anyone but his sister). He was tanned and so cute!He looks like Oliver James.I was completely smitten. He happened to board the same plane and was seating just 3 rows behind.Anyway, once we got to Bangkok,we dumped our bags in the hotel and took off for Pratunam as we di
dn't cover the whole area previously. But we'd reached Bangkok pretty late and we were all hungry so we had lunch first then went to Pratunam.By that time,it was already 5 plus, and it was raining. But we managed to get good bargains due to the rain.It was frustrating though because most of the shops closed at 7,which didn't give us much time to really look around.I felt like crying.Seriously.You can't deprive a girl of her shopping you know. But nevertheless,I bought a VonDutch handbag and many other shirts.I wanted to buy a Spain jersey but I couldnt find a nice one. Then,we went back to our hotel area to shop because there were lots of little shops.I bought more shirts from there. Then we finally went back to the hotel. We had to sleep early because we had to wake up at an unearthly hour again the next day to catch our early flight to Singapore the next day.
So that was my Thai trip.Pretty good,no scratch that.It was fabulous, fantastic, great, awesome!I might be going back in December. Can't wait!I'm going to upload more photos when I have the time.I'm going to go get ready for the Portugal-England match.
