I recently found 9 bucks.I was coming home from watching Pirates of The Carribean : Dead Man's Chest, which is good though the ending sucks cause it's just left hanging, though I suppose they made it that way so that the third one would be eagerly-anticipated as well.Anyway,so I just got off the bus and was walking towards the lift when the money dropped from the sky,as in literally dropped from the sky.I looked up at the block of flats, thinking that someone had accidentally dropped it or something but no,I didnt see anyone who looked as if they'd just lost 9 bucks. So I took it.I mean,it was practically there, screaming for me to pick it up.And hey, finders keepers, losers weepers.Andik just asked me where she can buy cloth. She wants to make a skirt.I mean, personally,I wouldn't waste my time.Sure you can argue that it saves money. But really when you think of it,you need money for the materials and sure that costs less than buying a whole new skirt but when you factor in all the time and energy you're going to have to put in,it's just as good as simply buying one.Besides, the stitches won't be all messy and it definitely wouldn't be the work of an amateur. But hey,it's not that I'm saying you shouldn't sew or anything. If you really are into fashion designing or sewing or just simply have loads of free time on your hands, then hey,why not? It's after all,all in the name of fun.But I for sure, wouldn't sew a skirt or shirt or anything else for that matter, excluding the bag I'm doing now for Home Ec,simply because I'd rather spend all that time sewing doing something more interesting, say, shopping for example.Besides,I'm no good in sewing and I really don't have the patience to actually sit down for hours and sew.By heavens,no.
I just bought a new book.Emma by Jane Austen, the same author of Pride and Prejudice. The book only costs $4.73.I think it's ridiculously cheap, not that I'm complaining though. But,it's a classic, for goodness sake.Jane Austen is like, one of the greatest writers and to have one of her most accomplished books being sold for just a mere 5 bucks simply doesn't do justice to her.Even books by William Shakespeare like Hamlet,Othello and MacBeth were being sold for the same price. It's really outrageous.Imagine if William Shakespeare and Jane Austen were still alive,I bet they'd feel the same way too.My current favourite author is Georgette Heyer,an 18th century writer.I'm now reading Powder and Patch and am liking it.I want to read Beauvallet next but I can't seem to find it in the libraries. There's no point asking anyone I know because I'm sure they haven't even heard of Georgetter Heyer, let alone, posses the book.I'll just have to keep on searching then.
